Triforce Zelda Art by Lawrence Yang

If you like Trifoce, you’ll love all four pieces Lawrance Yang is displaying at Game Over III in the Gigant Robot San Francisco gallery. He will be joined by other artists who use game as inspiration for their art.

You better hurry though, the Game Over III show closes on April 14.

Video Games Live Orchestra

It seems Video Games Live! is coming to Miami, Florida. Though the date has yet to be determined, it is nice to see it officially as one of the cities on the list (it was not on there previous to this year and I just got around to write about it anyway). I call out to all my Miami video game playing brothers to join me in the celebration. Will you join us?

Community Vibes #5

First of all, I have to admit this was probably the first time (that I can remember) that I attended one of Gamertag Radio’s Community Vibe events. At the same time, I have to admit I was pretty impressed with their 5th outing. It was held at the very swanky Ecco Pizza Lounge in Downtown, Miami. The setup included many games from the past such as Battletoads, Streets of Rage, and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Turtles in Time to modern hits such as Dante’s Inferno, Street Fighter 4, and of course RockBand 2. The turn out was pretty dramatic considering it was a Super Bowl weekend in Miami.

Community Vibes #5 is impressive as it succeeds in gathering gamers in the community to come together and do what they love best: play video games. If you’ve ever lived in South Florida you know it has lacked a community forever. 2kGames and EA Sports provided free swag such as a Bioshock Little Sister figurine to the first 1,000 attending and also some Madden Xbox 360 Faceplates. I’m hoping to attend more Gamertag Radio events in the future and so should you!

Below are a few more pics from the event:
